Creativity invites all kinds of reactions, while the typical one is revulsion.
The reality that creativity invites revulsion is one that many people do not understand--unless there is some controversial art being discussed--as most people do not care about the start of the creative
process, only learning about things at the end, when there is that rare thing called acceptance.
Most creative stuff is just stuff, and the revulsion never dies.
But some of it passes through to the mainstream, and gets to be considered, great.
And people forget about the revulsion.
Hatred of the creative process is not a new thing.
It is as old as humanity.

Hmmm, either you just discovered we have a Blog section, or you have a lot of pent-up creativity that was looking for an outlet.
Interesting and entertaining entries, but you really should allow us to sip and savor a little daily (or weekly), rather than have us chug them all down at once. (Drinking in the wisdom of (w)ilburn) |
