Posted 10-06-2008 at 02:28 PM by Ed Merry
I asked teh dealer in Virginia Beach about a collapsible spare tire and wheel for the Cayman and a new one is about $900.

Does anyone have one to sell or know how to get one for much less. ?? Thanks. Ed

PSAM Question

Posted 09-24-2008 at 09:33 PM by Ed Merry
I know PASM drops ride height about 1/4 inch, 10 mm, and I can feel the suspension stiffen up with PASM engaged But I have a question. .

Engine running, car level in my garage. I measure the clearance between the open door sill and the floor.

Question: If I select PASM Sport, should that same clearance be 10mm lower? THoughts please. Thanks. Ed

Had my Cayman S for a year now, when cold its had an annoying engine rattle around 2/3000 RPM but now its doing it all the time and Porsche Sheffield say thats normal and wont do a thing with it!!
How can it be normal when it sounds horid and its only just started doing it all the time??
Anyone else in the same boat?
They say its the oil pressure valve

Thanks

i am not Chuck mechanic, so everything i thought about writing brought up five new questions. (sometimes research can be terribly exponential.) new camera, new editing program, new people to work with, new exhaust.

i
am
exhausted.

and best yet, there have not been many comments. *sigh*

I brought my OBDII code reader to work today, so I could reset a check engine light on a friend's 2008 Corvette Convertible. Here in Oregon, one of only two states in the US you can't legally pump your own gas, these CELs are more common, because the pump jockeys either don't tighten the gas cap enough, or they twist it around a couple of extra orbits just to be sure, wearing out your cap quickly in the process. I love to go to Washington or California just to pump my own gas. Oregon is such...
