This will be my attempt to keep a blog on my experiences with my first ever Porsche - a Cayman S. I've dreamed of owning a Porsche, like many of you I am sure, for many years and now is my chance!
I hope to start off with a blog on my delivery experience, describing picking up my car (after a 4 month wait) in New Jersey and bringing it home to North Carolina.
After that, we'll see where the road leads me!

The miles are adding up
I've used the word SMOOTH to describe my CS many times, but I've got to say with almost 1400 miles now on the ODO it just keeps getting better and better.
As I've noted before, there are not enough O's in SMOOOOOOTH to describe this car.
I also continue to be impressed with the fit and finish, and thought and workmanship that went into designing and building the car. Honestly, I expected it to be very nice, but the more I look at the details, the more I like it.
Coming from an Audi, I thought it would be tough to make me completely happy with the interior design of another car - IMHO Audi's interiors are up there with the best in the world at any price. I will gladly put the CS right on up there, however, with anything I have seen before. The quality of the leather - I have the full leather - is excellent, the build quality without issue and the ergonomics are very good. (With the exception, in my opinion, that the storage bin in the center console is located a bit too far back to be truly convenient. Each control works with a lovely "oiled" feel to it, and each control feels the same in it's operation - it's a small thing but I appreciate it. I also very much like the instrument lighting at night and appreciate the ambient lighting from the roof down to the dash. Has anyone else noted the small light inside the door pull? A very cool touch, in my opinion!
I could go on for some time, but I've got to run for now.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Wow! What a car!

Been reading Mike and I must say that your initial experiences at the Audi dealership looking at another car before you even considered the CS were similar to mine. I have always wanted a Porsche since I was young and I still can't believe that I have one on the way. I will say that you planned well picking the car up a good ways from where you live so you could rack up the break in miles early! Congrats!
