Trackday at Pasir Gudang 6 Sept 08

I've been to PG before, had a blast there. The Cayman S is perfect for this track. I'm not involved in organising this event, but it'll be great if I have some company so I'm posting up the details for fellow Singaporean Porsche owners who are interested. Please feel free to PM me for more info/tips/advice if you've never tried this track before. It's different from Sepang, you can't compare the two. Pros: Its a lot nearer, you can be back in SG in the afternoon to relax. Cons: It's not as forgiving and its tricky.

I don't know about last weekends incident, if there was one. But yes PG is tricky and it isn't forgiving. I shouldn't speculate why someone kissed the wall while others didn't. It's not a race, it's a trackday. I just think everyone should aim to drive his car back in one piece. You have a beautiful car and look like you've had track time before, wanna come?

Tks for the invite bro. You are right about comments re PG.
Yes I have tracked quite a bit before :-) but other commitments prevent me from pursuing more of this at this time however I will be having some time in a single seater and cup car in about 2 weeks time :-)
Will post report and pics when I get the chance

It was a great day, weather was good and plenty of track time. But I noticed that by the end of the day it was very difficult to shift (i drive a tip). The lever was so stiff I almost had to use 2 hands to move into reverse. The problem went away on its on and its back to normal now. Anyone know why this happens?

glad you guys had a great time! as for shifting thing, all I can think of is that thermal expansion probably made the shims out of place and hard to shift the selector lever. IIRC the ZF, the selector lever has no mechanical linkage to the transmission internals, but you may want to get it checked out all the same.
