Cayman S Mods (Singapore)

The package by Evoms looks interesting:
***Introducing the EVOMS Cayman RS350 Kit*** Picture intensive, but worth it!

The shopping list (USD):
1. Evolution Motorsports V-Flow: $349
2. EVOMSit RS350 Software: $1000
3. IPD Competition Plenum and 82mm 997 GT3 Throttle Body Conversion Kit: $1295
4. Cargraphic Exhaust: $2200 for Straight Tips or $2300 for Rolled Tips with Perforated Inserts

Optional Extras:
5. Cargraphic Headers and 200 Cell Catalysts: $4200
6. ESR Underdrive Pulley: $199
7. Sharkwerks Lightweight Flywheel*: $1100

Has anyone in Singapore tried item 3 before or heard any feedback from local owners/workshops? Seems like an interesting mod to do, we can try to do a group buy or if anyone knows a cheaper source (Germany?) for any of these items please post/send PM.

Regarding ecu software, I'm looking for first hand experience from local users of upgraded mapping for a tiptronic cayman S. There is a lot of info in this site, but I'm interested to hear how local cars, with local fuel and our tropical heat perform with the mods. Please post/PM. Thanks.

hi bro,

That already a fellow bro running on the plenum and 997 TB, the response is that the pull isdarm good, both on our drive up to sepang and on track itself.. bet he will swear by it..haahaa

As for local ECU, there are already 2 caymanS running on softronic..so far so good..thats a few 997 turbo running on DMS, the reponses is that gain are better on turbos only..As For Rommel, only know that he did his custom-tuning for a 997C2S..

So far no problem i know off from all the ECU being offered locally..as for the gains..im not too sure as i have not seen any of their dyno chart

Going to the track or ?

Think of track tires and Pagid brake pads - your stockers aren't quite up to it -

It's my daily driver and the occasional track car (if i'm lucky I get to go every 2mths ).

Good idea on the track tires and Pagid pads, I will be getting them for the next trackday.

The reason I started this thread is that I'm looking for more oomph for the long straights at Sepang. So please keep the feedback/ideas coming.

going for Oct 25 TD? (BMW guys) I got some pagid orange (2 day ship rush job) from Craig but the TD rained out and I managed to do an instrumented 3:03 in the rain. But the bite has improved significantly and the squeaking (lazy to remove pads) is tolerable and makes the people stare ....

Thumbs up

Item 3, The new IPD Plenum kit would have to be the most optimized piece of hardware as far as Plenums' go.

i dun think so..think the stocks rims cant clear the calipers...even when im using 355 rotors. if im not wrong..the only after-market 18's rims that can clear are champion motors, volk TE37, Advan RS, BBS LMR , OZ ultraleggera and these BBS alum rims from Carnewal .

just my 5 cents worth...

Is this with the 82mm 997 GT3 Throttle Body Conversion Kit?
If yes, then you can edit your post and put me down for one.

I am interested in the new IPD race plenum with the 82mm throttle body. Heard production should be underway. If that's what you mean, please put me down for one set.
