I tried searching the forum with little luck. I was wondering what people to about pollen. Right now is crazy in Houston for pollen, you get stuck at a stop light for too long and your car is now yellow. My two question are this:
What do you do about pollen just after you wash your car but before you're done drying? (the only thing I found on the search was a leaf blower) Maybe this is the only answer so be it.
Number 2, what do you do about daily pollen? Do you just let is sit on the car, brush it off or what? Washing the car is not an option for this question.
I've found that a California Duster works quite well at removing nasty pollen powder. I keep one in my Cayenne during the spring to be able to brush off as necessary. Just be sure to shake that thing out well and that it did not pickup anything that could scratch the paint.

Agreed. I have read this in other detailing sections of forums. In addition, do not attempt to polish or wax the car with pollen forum, it might scratch the finish.
Same problem here in Charlotte. I can out from work yesterday and my entire car was yellow (previously Atlas Grey). I drove home at warp speed and that didn't really help. I was worried about scratching it with a microfiber towel as well. Rinse off is the only safe thing to do in my case. My neighbors already think I'm nuts washing it every other day anyway, so I might as well do it everyday.

I sort of have this problem everyday with dust and nothing removes it except a wash. The CA duster just moves it around. At least yours is seasonal, well mine is to if three is mud instead of dust.
If possible consider a light weight car cover while at work.
I do cover my car at work (small business...small lot). No real worries about theft of the cover. BUT...the car still gets yellow while driving around. Last weekend I washed my car and was very satisfied....took a shower and came out for a drive. I could already see the pollen! UGH!
I finally broke down and took it to the car wash for a quick rinse then a speedy drive home. But that almost always results in some water remaining on the car. And as has been said above....when pollen is falling quickly...I was afraid to touch the car with even a microfiber to get the last drops off....and my leaf blower was no where to be found. Result: Some spotting. Luckily I waxed last weekend ands those spots should come off easily.
My recommendation. Wash the car soon.....dry and wax while indoors with the doors closed. Then at least when you do a quick rinse during the week....the resulting water spots will come off easier next weekend when you wash.
I too live in the Houston area and unless you plan on keeping your car in a hermetically sealed bubble, it is a fact of life. I'm finding myself washing my car at least once a week because of the pollen.
I'm looking forward to the pollen season being over, not just because I'm afraid the pollen is ruining my finish but because the allergy factor has got to go!
Pollen Count 5900 today in Atlanta. My baby is staying inside until this nasty stuff passes.

Living in Toronto fortunately i don't have this problem. Could someone take a picture of their car with the pollen on, i'd like to see what all the fuss is about
If not washed off in a timely manner, will the pollen leave any ill effects on the paint?
BTW, i'd rather have pollen on the car certain times of the year than snow.
