Clear bra done right?

I am about to order the bra, so is this going to do it right?:

24" of the hood, bumper, mirrors, door cups, and door edge guards, done in speedfilm (speedfilm.net) for $995

OR

That, plus all of hood for $1295

Is there anything else that is a MUST for a good application? How about wheel wells or rocker panels? This would be a dealer application on a spanking new baby croc.

Thanks.........................................

To avoid any seams, I'm planning on full hood, full front quarter panels, and lamps removed to allow the material to be tucked out of sight. Quoted at $2000 complete.

This is not through dealer, but one of this site's sponsors (in California).

I would consider adding headlights, foglights and A-pillars.

I had Premier in Fremont, CA do mine 2 weeks ago.... full front, headlamps, full hood and full front fenders.....no seems anywhere....

Looks great....

I also had them apply a heat reducing film to the rear window...knocks out about 50% of heat penetration but barely noticable visually... REALLY keeps the car cool (when I also remember to put the front sunscreen in place )

My clear bra installer advised that you shouldn't just use the normal clear bra material over headlights and foglights, since the heat they generate might cause them to blister and/or discolor.

I installed X-pel 3M headlamp shields over my headlights and fogs -it's much thicker than the clear bra, but still invisible to the eye.

wheel wells are pretty important. You could also look into replacing the factory rear fender arch as well.

FYI My prior car to the Cayman was a 2003 Boxster S that had enough Stoneguard that it reminded my of my Grandmothers couch, wrapped in plastic to protect the couch for the future that never came. For the 2007 Cayman I'm going bra-less. Sorry Premier.

No need to be sorry. We are not even in the same state. As for Stonegard, they have multipc kits with many relief cuts that show the film too much....that's probably what you had on your Boxster. Installation is the key when it comes to custom work and if it is a precut pattern, the design of the kit is just as important.

Just to be fair, Premier, I will visit a Seattle area 3M Clear Bra installer to compare to the StonGard product I had previously. To save face, of course, I cannot admit that I had it installed.
