View Poll Results: How do you care for your vehicles?
I wash my CS every week and wax it about every third wash. I have pine trees in my front yard and if the sap stays on the car too long then it is very hard to get off. I had a MINI before and someone said that alcohol would remove the sap, it did a great job on the sap but it did a number on the paint as well. Now I am a little afraid to just try new things. I figure it is easier to take it to a pro then to muck it up myself.
Sorry, I couldn't answer your poll since I've yet to wash my CS.
I'm a bit lazy and short on time when it comes to that kind of stuff. I've been looking for a nice quick wash/wax that gives good results. I've had a few suggestions from folks on this site.

If you still need some stuff, let me know. Personally, I love the poorboys super slick n suds auto soap. This package I linked to below is honestly filled with great stuff. Has the super slick n suds, along w/ a sheepskin wash mitt, a couple mf towels, nattys paste wax (might be one of the easiest waxes to use w/ outstanding results... blue for darker colors, white for lighter colors) and finally, a quick detailer. Use it after your routine washes to extend the life of the wax and keep a nice gloss and slick feel to the paint
I could only check one box so I checked Dual Action but I have an orbital buffer as well and I do a lot by hand. It just depends on which wax I'm using.
zymöl is my first choice for wax but I also use some of the Griot's products.
so far it looks i need to get some of you guys into a dual action! a large % doing it by hand or paying someone. ... especially you guys doin it by hand... you're killing yourselves, haha. I dont think I know anyone who has looked back after going to a DA

i knew it! Hes trying to sell you something. Online equivalent of a telemarketer.
He is also giving great advice. Buying and using a Dual Action polisher on my five year old Jeep has made the paint look better than it did the day I bought it.

I'm not buying into that argument. I've done it by hand and done it by a PC (hmm, interesting conversation). I'm not so sure the PC is faster or better. The Cayman has a LOT of curves and places that make the PC worthless.
When I did a cayman last week, I honestly didnt have any problems using the pc. (there are 4" pads available for tighter spaces if you need it). And you certainly wont be able to break down stronger polishes by hand. Your hand simply cant generate enough heat to break down the polishes or compounds. Simple paint cleaning, sure, you can do that by hand, but no type of major correction. Similarly, You'll be able to do more correction and do it faster, with a rotary over a pc/udm. Anyway, this just goes back to another post we had where it came down to everyone doing it (detailing) differently. If you enjoy detailing by hand, go for it
