I can't wash the car without some good tunes in the background. My frinds say I have a very eclectic taste in music. I may listen to anything from Mr.Sinatra to Led Zeppelin. Most of the time I listen to classic rock. How about yous guys???
Well, I usually wash mine in an automatic touchless carwash, so it's:
"Raindrops keep falling on my head . . ."
NOT!!

This is funny as I just got done washing mine and was checking new posts!
I use a little ipod docked to a Altec Lansing boom box in shuffle mode. Mostly Jazz; Miles, Brubeck, Coltrane, Lester Young, Gillespie, Charlie Parker, etc. If not that, I just listen to the radio, tuned to NPR.
After just over one year and 17,000 miles, I still can just walk around the freshly cleaned car and simply admire the terrific lines and reflections of the surroundings on the magnificient shape and say, wow. Then I remembered how I drove that shape 250 miles yesterday, through the canyons and high desert with the Zone 8 Turkey re-run with about a dozen other Caymans, and just smiled a big smile!
We’re in a drought and cannot wash our cars so I “Quick Shine” it while listening to Public Radio . . . Car Talk with Click and Clack - The Tappet Brothers.
I had just cut 5 CDs from our itunes list for the car, before I did my 20+ hour detailing marathon Sun-Wed of this week. While I will usually have Speed on the TV in the garage, I can't watch Pinks in the off season, so I stuck the CDs on.
The play list included:
CS&N
Edgar Winter Group (Free Ride an all time fav...)
ELO
Allman Bros.
Bad Co.
Blood Sweat and Tears
Alliotta Haynes and Jeremiah (any KMNR listeners out there from the late 70s?)
Spirit
Steely Dan
Steve Miller
Head East
Humble Pie
Rare Earth
Uriah Heep
REO
Yes
and after listening to each CD twice (at least), I also put on Made In Japan......
