hi there, can anyone recommend a shine for the aluminum factory polished wheels that will really make the wheels shine? ive heard of wheel wax, but anything else that will almost give a chrome shiny appearance to the wheel that really shines? thank you
WheelWax. Wait a second. You've already heard of that. Seriously, I am a nut when it comes to cleaning my cars and motorcycles. I have every kind of good wax that you can name (and some that you can't). For wheels nothing beats WheelWax.
I do not work for WheelWax. I do not own stock in the company. I do not have friends or relatives who work for the company. I am just a satisfied customer.

I don't think you're ever going to get silver painted wheels to shine exactly like chrome - if that's really your thing you may want to check out having your wheels chromed by company like Wheel Enhancement (see pic). A little too bling for me though . . .

The wheels are painted. You seem to be looking for a polished appearance that can only be achieved on bare aluminum, which some after-market rims are. You can no more get that "chrome" look on painted wheels than you can on your painted front fender; not with any product or any amount of buffing.

HAHAHAHAHAA!!! Too funny. I know I get it...
I am another satisfied customer of Wheel Wax. It works really well.
And I too am not affiliated with Wheel Wax in any way other than a paying customer.
Obviously a different wheel/finish, I know, but, thought it turned out really well.... Per one of my customers on another forum:

heres how they turned out
And yet another who did a test w/ the Poorboys wheel sealant:
"Since being introduced to the Poorboys line up by Chris at Glimmer Glass... ive been nothing but happy with every product ive used... they all do what they say they will do and some do a bit more... this happens to be one that does exactly what i expected/hoped it would do... so onto the experiment
this is approximately a weeks worth (300+miles) of brake dust build up.. the wheels have 3 coats of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant on them... 2 were done at the "big" detail i did and one was done recently to refresh/reinforce...
as you can see the wheels are absolutely filthy... OEM brembo pads are notorious for dusting a ridiculous amount...anyway... today i did my weekly wash before our tuesday night meets... i use my pressure washer to do my pre-rinse becuase it helps get the bugs and **** off the front end... along with the bug squash... heres a shot after i hit half the wheel with the PW..
as you can see the dust is almost completely gone... it just pretty much rolled right off the wheel... i took a short.. non-audio .. video clip so that people could see how i got the results.... id say this got 99% of the dust off the wheel... i just followed like i normally do with a damp rag to get the extremely stubborn parts...
this product gets a 5 out of 5 in my book!"
If interested, here's a link to the poorboys wheel sealant.
It is great to hear good things about a product I invented and brought to market. Poor Boys and a few others recognized that WheelWax filled a need in the market and knocked off almost everything down to the description on our web pages. Immitation is the most sincere form of envy (used to be flattery). It happens every day and keeps solid business people looking for ways to improve their brand and make thier products stand out. We are car guys. We drive hard, play hard and work hard at staying ahead of the competition. If we launch a product it is after months of testing on our cars, at car shows and in the real extreme conditions enthusiasts experience. It is much easier to create a copy than an original, everyone knows that.
We support the Cayman Club Forum and appreciate the business. We also like hearing feedback both positive and constructive. By the way, I was in Salt Lake City at Miller Motorsports track and got a chance to see the baddest Cayman in all the land. I am going back when the weather breaks to test a track car for a challenge series and will try to snap a few photos of the beast. It is a great shade of "arrest-me-red", completely stripped, modified, caged and ready to take on all imposters. Thanks again for your business.

I am affiliated, own the company, have friends and relatives who work here and bleed WheelWax when scratched!
I haven't tried other products but didn't see the need since Wheel Wax does a very good job. It does keep the wheels nice and shiny and easy to clean. I don't like the container though. They really need to move to squeezy bottles.
