I agree with ATL Markus. I've had all my new cars have clear bra installed. I just bought a Carrara White Cayman and I'm getting mine installed hopefully this next week. Since Carrara isn't a true pure white like Ibis from Audi (my last car) I think the yellowing will be very minimal to non-existent. Here is a picture of my Audi TT with clear bra:
Good, bad? Yes, no? Your thoughts and opinions please.

I wish I would have but put it on the back burner. It is now probably too late becauase I have some knicks and scratches on the bumper. If it is very clean still I would highly advise diong it. Drew
I am probably in the minority. I had a clear bra on my Cayman when I bought it. I took it off. It reminds me of covering your sofa in plastic.
I think it all depends on where you live. Here in Oregon they gravel/sand the roads during the winter. It lingers year round and chips happen. So Clear bra is a must if you don't want severe pitting.
If I bought another CS, I'd have it done while still at the dealer. The trip is to get someone who knows what he is doing and who uses the right product. I had it put on after about 500 miles and the car already had quite a few nicks. Most people can't even tell. I've had a couple poeple, while looking at my car, ask if I was going to get a clear bra but on (it was already on).

ED - would check with that - may not be too late. we put ours on after a few months of highway nicks. better to stop them now, than to not stop them at all, perhaps?

we thought about having ours done at the dealer, but they wanted $1,500 to do the job - which did not include the full front hood. we went to an expert installation shop (Premier) and had the whole job done for ~$1000, including full front hood (a must for us.) also, dealers may contract out the work to a local shop. just something to think about...

I have the 3M Bra. The dealer put it on. I paid $300 for it. They wanted $800. I said no way. They cried a little, but saw it my way. I like it. Lots of protection from flying debris on the road. With the Cayman being so low, we catch a lot of it. One thing, it will scratch easy when cleaning dried sticky bugs off it, so be careful when washing. I do think it compromises the aesthetics slightly, but I'm willing to trade off to save the paint dings.

I say absolutely, but here in ATL front ends really get beat up with road rash. I had my 993 and Audi both "trashed" pretty bad on the front end so I had my Carerra White car done before I took it off the lot. FYI, if you didn't already know, they can do the entire hood (that is, no line) with one piece now. They also did the side view mirrors, under the door handles, rear door lip, and back quarters (low) as part of the "complete package" for like $1295. Expensive I know, but I was happy to get it.
