Just moved to Minneapolis

i just moved from Denver to Minneapolis as a result of a career move. I'm hoping that there are some members on forum from the area.

For starters I would apriciate advice on a car wash where you take your Cayman. Mine is a daily driver so it does need a wash here and there during winter. I live in the Lake Calhoun area so the closer the better.

What dealership do you prefer in the area (I believe there are two).

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Can't help you on winter car wash other than to say I don't trust any of them. I prefer self serve in winter and don't use their brush - bring your own bucket.

Maplewood and Carousel are under same ownership and they routinely trade cars between dealers. I use Maplewood for service because they are closer to my house and I have been very satisfied with them. I shopped both before purchasing and found that Maplewood had less "attitude".

This is a DIY wand car wash place that is winter heated. I go there about once per week.

As for the dealerships - I use Carousel because they are closer to me. I also use Courtney Truck for any non-warranty work - Mike Courtney is a DE instructor, Club Racer and knows Porsche's inside and out. He has done all my mods for me.

Welcome to Minne. We have a forum for people in PCA Zone 10. You can read about things going on in this region there.

Thank you very much for the info about the car wash. Do you happen to know the name or actual adress so I can find it with the Garmin ( I feel like such a dork for saying that). If not, no problem the map makes it pretty easy.

Sorry - but I have to leave you in the dork status. It's on 90th street - south side of the street, east of Lyndale.

At least the Nuvi has a compass. ;-)
