California Snow in May!

I finally took my first real drive in my CS 2 weekends ago driving from Stockton CA to Lake Tahoe. We took I-88 and it was a blast, seriously fun twisty roads with friendly enough people to use the turnoff to let us pass. Even saw a grandpa having a spirited drive in his new thunderbird! Great to see. Had a blast and can't wait for a drive like it again.

On our way back, I was heading over the pass and to my surprise saw some flakes. Pretty soon it was snowing like mad and when we got a ways in, the road was closed. I turned around and by the time we headed back, there was already 3/4" of snow on the ground, and couldn't use the brights it was so bad. Plus girlfriend was a wreck. I faintly saw lights in the rear view and pulled over letting a Chevy truck pass and followed his tire tracks out of there.

When I got back to the house we stayed at, noticed that they had used salt on the roads and had white spots all over the car. The next day, sunny and dry as could be, drove home and washed the car a couple of times. Should I be concerned about the undercarriage at all with one trip through some salt. I sprayed underneath as well as I could with the hose but wanted any advise/suggestions if I should have done anything else. I know it has been two weeks, but thought to ask you guys for some helpful advise.

Thanks,

Brad

Don't sweat it.

These cars aren't fragile; despite their sales price they're meant to be driven and are designed as such.

You washed off the salt you could, there's not much more to do.

Don't worry about it. As BillK, these cars aren't fragile.
