Question on the Care and Feeding of Painted Interior Surfaces

For those of you that have painted surfaces in your car’s interior (both factory and aftermarket), how do you maintain those surfaces? Do you just use mild soap and warm water or do you follow the same processes you use on your exterior paint (e.g. glazes, sealants, waxes)? Also if a painted surface gets minor scratches do you use compounds to polish them?

To clean the interior I use a damp (just water) microfiber covered sponge. Then I dry with a microfiber towel. That process does a great job of removing grime.

I don't have any interior pieces that require wax.
