After my first AutoX and a Car Control clinic, I had a nasty 4" black cone mark on the side of my bumper. How did that get there?
My car has the bumper covered with a clear bra so I wasn't too worried about the paint, but it was ugly. No amount of detailing spray or rubbing with a microfiber worked.
Then I remembered reading somewhere about using a polish on the clear-bra for stuff like this. I had a old bottle of Zymol HD-Cleanse so I decided to give it a shot.
A few rubs with a towel applicator and presto, the mark is gone.
Hope this helps out some of our new AutoX'ers out there!

huh, thanks. There are other recos on this site for that and none of them have helped for me so far. I still have marks on my car from over a month ago (yea, how do they get there???) and I've tried all kinds of bad stuff to get it off so far. I'll try whatever random polish I have next chance I get - thanks!

Very true Karel. Prior to the event I told myself take it easy and give the cones a wide berth. Howerver when the red mist hit, my lack of skills became evident as I slammed thru the course!

We don't have cones on our tracks in the UK, and you can get up to 140 mph on the tracks too!
Only 140? On our good 'ole US of A tracks, we don't usually have cones either. Eagle's Canyon had to cone off some track damage going into turn 6 at the last event though. The dubious award last year was from AX & time trials. We have quite a few cones in those events.
