good experience going to Ralph Boothe's Place

Hi everybody ,I bought my speed yellow Cay.S 2 months ago .It came in with 19 inch carrera wheels, and had enough looking at the standard bolts so I called Mr. Ralph ,since I live in Los angeles,I took an appointment, took my car to his place, arrived there around 11 am,he greated me at the door(very nice person)and we discussed about bolts ,locks and spacers.1st he showed me the jack lifting plate that you can scew it in and stays hanged, all you have to do is position gently the jack and lift the car up,that's what we did and he showed me the 4,5,6" spacers ,he said Porsche uses/recommends the 5",but we went with the 6",before installing the spacers we used his wheel hangers and instead of using 1 hanger ,we used 2 hangers and positioned like @ 2 and 10 oclock on the wheels and believe me there were working like wonders very easy to remove the heavy wheel and install the spacer and put back the wheel without in /out effort till you find the holes.then we installed the chrome plated bolts and he explained me how to put the lock(what an invention)u can not tell where the lock is (better to put it at the bottom of the crest)so you know at a glance where it is.and the mechanism is so simple, no need tu use keys or pins getting loose etc.anyway we installed together all the 4 wheels, by the way if you start jacking up the rear wheel, just continue lifting up untill the front wheel gets up this way you can work on both wheels the same time.Mr. Ralph was like an instructor, he explained me all the details ,also we used his torque wrench callibrated @96,after finishing the job we went inside and he showed me his 911 turbo, and 1968 targa that he got trophies on them, believe me I had a wondurfull day with him hearing his inventions his stories going to vegas with his tubo 150 miles per hour and the highway patrol cought him and just letting him go.I recommend whoever lives in southern California to go there and have fun .
