What is good for taking off bird stuff without damaging the finish?

What I've read about others doing is keeping a microfiber towel in the glovebox along with some spray quick detailer. Something along the lines of http://www.meguiars.com/?car-maintenance/Quik-Detailer or http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...roduct_Count=8 . Just remember to remove bird droppings ASAP.

I keep a 20 ounce soda bottle full of water in the front trunk for just such an emergency. That's usually enough to flush away most of the **** or soften it up to wipe away with a soft towel. Water should also be sufficient to neutralize anything acidic in the droppings. Of course, having a good wax layer there in the first place helps a lot too.
