Metal Box

what is everyone doing with the metal box that came with your cayman? you know, the box with the porsche crest that contained among other things, a directory of dealers and the porsche design catalog. mine has been in my closet for the past couple of months.

The book of dealers I keep in my glove compartment. The box and the rest of its contents are in my closet, same as you.

Any pictures?

Us UK members won't have got anything like that, don't get any discount and don't get much in the way of gifts. We do, however, get the same fantastic car!!!

It's all in my closet too! PCM finds the nearest dealers for me
Thinking about giving it to my little girl to hold school supplies, but otherwise useless. I can't even find a good place for my black fold-over manual documents holder. Too big for the glove box.... What about you guys?

It fits. You got to take all the stuff out of it except the stuff you really needs.

But the box ... I forgot all about it buy now I'm thinking ...

I'm an admitted packrat. I think the metal box was a very cool and unexpected touch, the salesman didn't break it out until we were almost done with the delivery. It's stashed away in a drawer but it's a keeper for sure as long as I've got the car. Kind of like the boxes and papers if you're a watch nut like me too, you always keep those.

The manual folder is in the glove box. The tin box contains small parts - fuses, odd bits and pieces, etc. - and reposes in a garage shop cupboard next to her majesty.

same as most of you. mine is in a drawer in the house . i put the 2nd key as well as the valet key in it. safety reminder : remove the valet key (little black plastic key ) from the owners manual packet in case your car gets broken into .
