Perhaps one of our aftermarket sponsors can provide license plate frames in factory spec. colors? I haven't seen them advertised but think they would be an improvement over the standard silver, black, chrome that you can buy today.

If bumperplugs doesn't do it, I have a source at KnobMeister that makes StainlessSteel frames either polished or powder coated in a number of different colors. Here is the powder coated black one that I had on my Boxster S that our local PCA region had made.
As long as we don't violate any Porsche trademarks and get the proper permissions we could probably have a Cayman specific one made up by them.

CaymanClub.Net members who are also PCA members should request access to the PCA Member only forum by filling in their PCA Member ID# into their profile and then requesting a group membership addition, both of which can be done in the User Control Panel (User CP)
I'd just like a plain one, painted factory color and from a site sponsor. Personally I don't like advertising or even personalized plates on my car. I am pretty sure the Cayman S logo goes too.
I'm with Santa Fe on this one. Just looking for a body colored frame that will blend in. If I ever have to mount the front, I want something that maintains the shape of the front bumper and blends in.
Well give BumperPlugs a call and see if they have paint matching body color plate frames, I'm not sure that KnobMeister can match your paint exactly.

For those of us who MUST display a front license plate, but with no known height, isn't there a way to develop an arm or other extension from behind/above/alongside of bumper which would avoid holes in te bumper, and yet meet mandatory displays. If it could be developed, the customers would come. and if it could be removed for shows/Concours, it would sell even more. Come on some vendor, do your thing and let us hear soon.
I am thinking attaching front license plate holder using an adhesive to pass muster, should this become necessary. Then, just as quickly, removal from the front bumper.
