The exhaust tips on the cayman s don't really do it for me. What aftermarket options do i have. I like plain round ones and the bigger the better. Can exhuast shops make custom tips?
didn't like the looks of mine either but didn't want to spend $300 for the chrome tip either, so my son took it to school and they had a polishing wheel and compund. One hour later this tip is as brite as any chrome tip could ever be,. I am now very pleased. I think one could polish his tips easily by just buying a buffing wheel and installing it on a drill and getting the 3 bar polishing compunds at Menards and going at it. U certainly can't hurt the tip andit is very easy to do..

The first thing I did with my new CS was purchase a set of round tips from a mail order dealer for about $350. They show up on ebay sometimes as well.
Other sources are Fabspeed (about $450 from Eagle-Day). You could probably get a local shop to make up a set, but my guess is the factory ones are better.
Fabspeed
Fabspeed manufactures the world’s highest quality “MAXFLO” T304 Stainless Steel exhaust systems, carbon fiber style high performance air intake systems and more for Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini cars.
The only tips that I would consider are Boothes tips. I like the stock shape. The only way I would change the shape is to have the exhaust exit split on the two sides. I'd go for that in a heartbeat, but 9FF is a little too flakey and expensive for me to go that route with them.
I believe Ralph only charges around $100 to polish them.

Here is a link to a polishing kit if anyone is interested. All you need is a drill (recommends electric) and a flat head screw driver. I recently used on my exhaust tips and they turned out pretty good. Gotta say though, I still like the sport exhaust tips and will be going that route in the near future.
