Heading north on Dallas North Tollway around 10:20pm last night. Looked to be a black on dark interior color, maybe Carrera S wheels. Of course......moving too fast to get a good look!
Amazing........things that I wasn't quite sure about in the very beginning......from the front fogs, to some of the rear stying are totally gone now and been replaced by shear awe. Anyone feel the same? When I first saw the front fogs......I, like alot of other people, didn't know if I liked them or not........but seeing them in the rear view mirror, coming up fast behind you.......man, they sure look good andset the Cayman apart fromany other Porsche.....just what I wanted. And the overall shape of the car ripping down the road is breathtaking.....much more than any 911. The only thing that sucked was me not being the driver........soon, soon.......
Agreed, I just drove mine 1200 miles up from Ft. Lauderdale to Annapolis, MD in 14 hours. Everybody was giving be the thumbs up and I drew crowds at all my fuel & rest stops. Alot more people knew what a cayman was than I thought. Nice to be the only one in town too!
Will that attraction continue when they become more common? I think so because of the pure intense beauty. And around here they will be rare for a few years to come.
I think it will definatly continue. Heck, I saw only one other porsche period on the road on the way up here. I took I 95 straight up and in 14 hours you would think I would see something porsche.
(other than my own!) saw my first Cayman S on the road in Dubai ! Exactly the same spec as my own.
I've noticed a number of driver looking at the car as they draw along side. But I also find that some drivers race up to the back of the car, which drives me nuts. I figure they're wanting to take a look...but can't but help figure they want a race!
Seeing a recent Porsche sports car (new Boxster, 997, or Cayman) seems to be getting rare for some reason.......where seeing 996s and 986s was quite common. Both the 997 and 987 have been out for some time now......but I still hardly see them. I know Porsche is selling them.......where are they?
I have still not seen one on the road. But my girlfriend saw one two days ago and called me as she was driving along side it. She thinks its 'the sexiest porsche out right now.'
The only Cayman I saw on the road till today was the one of my dealer. Strange, because the launch was in november.
I saw my first one on the road this weekend (South-eastern PA). Taking one of my last jaunts in my 911 I saw a silver coming at me. At first thought it was a 911, until my eyes caught the fogs. Looked real good, couldn't help but salute and watch as we passed. I can't wait!!!!

I have seen3 in the past week driving from Ft. Lauderdale to Boca Raton... But i also see about 5 Bentleys, 2 Ferrari's couple Lambo's and tons of Turbo's on most days. I have no clue what these people do!
Living in Los Angeles, I see at least 10 Porsches a day and at least a few Ferrari's a week especially in the area I work around. The parking garage where I park my car has 2-3 Ferrari's, 1-2 Aston Martins, a couple Masaratis, a Lambo and about 4-5 Porsches.
However, I haven't seen any Cayman's around yet.
Sounds like one, amybe two Cayman owners have seen another? Anyone else? I have not yet come across one other than mine here in northern NJ (but I know they are out there).
