suggestions on my cayman?

The dealer called and asked for my configuration. I'm meeting him Thursday to place the order. Here is what I'm thinking about at the moment. Any advice is welcomed.

What have you learned about the TPMS? Took me a while to figure out what the initials stand for (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and I like it on my MINI S; I'm too lazy to check tire pressures regularly. My only suggestion is that you let me drive your Cayman S after breakin period to see whether Arctic Silver cars are faster than all the others :-)

Have you considered the sports seats or adaptive sport seats? Of course, then you would not want to get the preferred package PLUS, since you wouldn't want to electric seat package. I really like the look and feel of the sport seats. Looks like a nice car!

There is a photo in this forum that shows it. After ruining a couple of wheels on my 540i due to low pressure it seems prudent to add. Pressures must change more frequently at an altitude of 7000'?

If you can stretch it get the Sport wheel in smooth leather..........IMO opinion the 'smooth leather' wheel looks better in cars with full leather. The base sport wheel has leather that is grained more towards the vinyl dash. Very picky I know, but I did notice the difference.

Great config! I don't know about chrome exhaust - does it make the exhaust sound better? Or is it just cosmetic?

I agree on the leather sport steering wheel and I am ordering also. I believe his configuration shows that he is ordering it already. "Sport Steering Wheel Lthr"

Yep going with the sport wheel in smooth leather. I really want the sport seats but if I'm working this puzzle correctly they cost $3000 plus all the goodies in the premium plus package. (My vertically challenged wife needs power seats.) That seems a bit expensive. Anything I'm missing here?

Too bad you require power seats since sports seats with full leather interior are only $400. They are manual, but I am the only driver so I don't really care...figure they're lighter so I'll save an extra couple of seconds 0 to 60.

The adaptive sport seats are pretty cool, but just not worth the money for me.

FWIW I had to have the motor on my 986 electric seat replaced twice under warranty. I decided that the Sport seat w/ electric backrest was a better choice. There's a pix of the chrome exhaust tip (XLA) on the configurator. I'm not sure I like it better than the standard Cayman tip, the barrels are larger but round. If you look at the exhaust it's just a single outlet with a dual tip. Probably could get this option later and use the money for other things on the car. The cocoa has an effect in the material that gives it a varied color in different light. I like it because it looks like the varied colorations on natural cowhide, but not everybody likes it. You should try to see it for yourself before ordering it.
