75 pound child, airbags off

My 75 pound 11 year old got his first ride in my Cayman and the airbags automatically shut off. When he put his 25 pound backpack on his lap the airbags turned on. I will not be buying the very expensive cutout switch since the car does just fine on its own.

My 6 year old's Britax Starriser Comfy seat fits perfectly inside my sport seats and I will just use the seat belt to restrain him and his booster seat. I haven't put him and the seat in the car together but I anticipate the airbags will turn off.

My 3 year old and his Britax together do not weigh enough to turn the airbag on and I will not be getting, for now,the airbag cut-off switch.
