Thumbs down Uh-oh. Wife doesn't like the Cayman as much now..

..after we've gone to the Maine Air Show just yesterday, there was an Infiniti G37S on display. My wife and I sat it in and we were totally impressed by the rework of the interior.

Now my wife is liking this car more than the Cayman S!

She likes that it has the 4 seats..especially with the little Lance coming in December. But my daily driver has that too..so..I don't know..what gives??

You should be thanking Nissan for the distraction.

Oops..I should probably clarify that I'm closer to buying a new car and now my wife likes the G37S as a candidate..hence my "uh-oh".

And then in another sentence, she also said "why don't you just buy the Lotus"..

Oh boy. That could be a problem.... The G-37 is a good looking car, but they are in two totally different leagues. Take her to drive the Cayman.

I had an 05 G35C before my Cayman. All I will say is think twice about buying a Nissan or Infiniti. G35driver.com is a good site for info.

Everyday I do not regret unloading my G35C even at a loss.

They are not the same type of car. The G37 weighs in at around 3700 lbs and is going to be much more of a touring coupe then a sportscar.

agreed - the Infinity is in a completely different league than a Porsche.

then again, i test drove a 350Z this past weekend and was much more impressed than i had thought with both handling and interior (short shifter love) - and was not an Infinity.

I sat rear passenger-side in a G35 with some oversized salesman infront of me with his seat backed up to my knees, everytime I manage to get out of a 911 or any 2+2 seater I deserve to be given a prize for escaping. The G37 is no different, and the design is already dead after seeing too many new sedans and a few G37s. The new car is not even distinguishable at first glance on the open road. Also, every nissan/infiniti sports car and small SUV sounds identicle a.k.a active exhausts. ITS FAKE

Does she like whales?

You could always pull the old, "But Nissan is a Japanese company. They have a WHALING industry."

Sometimes you just have to out-crazy them. Hopefully you are not a collector of antique Norwegian sweaters, as this would undermine the credibility of your argument.

..so if the G37S is more of a touring car, that is pretty much in line with the scale of evolution of touring cars, with Aston Martin's DB9 at the top?
