why service department opening M-F only?

Is there any historical reason why Porsche service department are open Monday to Friday only?

Racing??

It seems like BMW and Audi open on Saturdays.

Some Porsche service departments are open on Saturday. I know from my local dealer they don't have enough work to keep them busy on a Saturday, maybe other dealers are that way?

The decision to open a dealership's service and/or parts dept on Saturdays is a business decision made by each dealer, not by Porsche. There's no "historical" reason related to Porsche. It may be based on any number of factors such as customer demand, staffing considerations, union contractual restrictions, etc.

I think more relative, do you want to work on Saturdays? Why would the mechanics? As others have said, it probably a business decision.

My dealer's service dept. is open on Saturday but they are very upfront in telling you that if you want anything but really routine stuff done, do it on a weekday. The experienced mechanics and technicians work M-F.
