A radiologist in my group owns a 1980s Porsche. An orthopedic doct in my group owns a Carrera. And I believe a couple colleagues in my department own Boxter.
I believe the three Cabriolets in the picture above are owned by orthopedic surgeons, and another orthopod drives a like-new 968. 2 of my colleagues in my anesthesia group drive older 911s. One of the GI guys just got a white CS (and makes it a point to park next to me as frequently as possible just to spite me - "you're not the only one with a Cayman now, nyah").

Interpol - nows the time to upgrade to that full TechArt body kit to differentiate!
At least, that's the conclusion I got from what I saw in the parking lot coming out of work a few days ago:
DISCLAIMER: this is not a scientific study.
LOL, this picture looks almost like a commercial for the Cayman. I like how the other cars look grey boring, and then there's the colorful Cayman to save us from boredom

I hate to stereotype but, in fact, all of the new 911's I have ever seen in our Hospital parking lot are owned by surgeons.

If I owned one of those silver cars and came out to this sight, I'd be selling mine right away! Love how the Speed Yellow punches things up in the parking lot.

I know a few physicians with various model Carreras, but no other Cayman owners.
I hate to say it, but... at least in my small circle, the docs with carreras seem to have bought them as status symbols. They don't drive very much, aren't too interested in "car talk", and have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention autoX or a track day. If I compliment their cars, trying to start a car conversation, it usually goes something like: "Yeah, it's nice. Fast, too." End of conversation.
On the other hand, I had a 10 minute conversation with a PhD on our walk to work (from the parking garage) about our Caymans. He had that big, stupid grin the whole time he was raving about the car; I'm sure you all know the one.
Also, just heard about a dentist nearby who tracks his Cayman regularly...
