Alan - It is very nice to hear a review from a recent Vette owner. I just sold my C6 last week and actually found a Cayman S on the Porsche website (NJ dealer)that is fitted with exactly what I want (Arctic silver, Zenons, Bose, heated seats.......that's it). The car is being transported to my house in Maryland on Friday and I can't wait.
I really enjoy the C6 but, like you, I wanted more styling and more refinement. I test drove a Cayman at a nearby dealer and was immediatelysold on the car. I have not driven a better handling and more responsive car ever.I immediately put the C6 up for sale (sold it in two days) and put a deposit on the Cayman the day I had my check from the Vette sale.
Where in MD are you? I am in Annapolis and have an arctic silver/Black with 19' Champion Wheels. 1600 miles on it to date. You are gonna love this car and Bigger Twinn could not have said it better!

I am in Frederick. Was just in Annaplis a couple weeks ago on business....I love that area (huge fan of Rams Head Tavern), especially during warm weather. Do you have any pictures of your car? I have seen some pics of the Champion RG5B Titanium wheels and they look great.
I was supposed to get the car today but one document was not sent out by the dealer that needs to be signed by me and Fed ex'd back. Oh well, at least I don't have to wait the three months like most everone else. I just got lucky I suppose.
Amerlemans, My wife designed the Rams head and the Rams head Roadhouse. My Wheels are the RS98's. PM me and I will forward two pix of the setup. I'm sure I will see you around. Maybe at the Chesapeake regions autocross series which we hold at Ripkin Stadium.
BiggerTwin: one of the best reviews I have seen on a CS ... thank you ....thank you ......thank you. . Shame on you for making my waiting even more miserable... j/k .... COCO...

Really well said BiggerTwin - Very well thought out - and you avoided just repeating what everyone else says - or perhaps you just said it better. I had a 400+ hp vett myself once and yet I look forward to this Porsche so much more.
Alan,
That was a great post and very well said. I am so looking forward to March even more now after what I just read on your post. Mine scheduled delivery is mid March. I just sold my 95 911. After test driving the Cayman last month I was so glad I sold the 911 for this remarkable porsche. Thanks for your insight
Jeff

Porsche should ask your permission to reprint this review - if anybody was thinking about this car after reading your review they would have not other option but to purchase it
I have a question about your wheels - I assume they are 19' and 8.5' front and 10' back - are you using 235 and 265 or wider in the back, were spacers or fenter rolling required, and lastly where did you purchase them from - thanks.
