How to remove Third Brake light on Hatch

Does anyone know how to remove the third brake light on the hatch? I got my car tinted today and from what it looks like the installer used a squeegee and pushed too hard by the third brake light and pushed some of the foam surrounding the brake light into the brake light... so its now dangling from the top. I need to get that out.

I looked in the manual and it teaches us how to remove all the other lights except for the third brake light.

it just clips in, pull from the bottom and you will see the clips. use a screwdriver or wood tongue depresser to push in clips to get it out. not that hard.

I just had my car into the dealer for the sagging foam on the CHMSL (center high mount stop light) and they say there's no fix. They ordered a new light.

Also ordered a whole new door panel to fix an intermittent buzz from the speaker. Weird.

I just noticed the gasket hanging around the light on my wifes Cayman.
Interesting that this seems to be common?

Re: How to remove Third Brake light on Hatch

What is the foam for? Can it be removed or is it so the plastic don't rub against the window. Mine is starting to sag slightly again in the corner.

It's a warranty fix. Let Porsche take care of it.

Very irritating this is the second time. The car is garaged so the sun is not the issue making it fall.

another "sagging foam on the 3rd brake light" club member. I'll get it done next time I'm in the dealership.

Re: How to remove Third Brake light on Hatch

My foam is not sagging, but there are a lot of small pieces of lint, dust, whatever between the glass and the light. How do you get in there to clean it out? It drives me crazy seeing all that debris under the glass and not being able to get to it.
