LOL. I gotta wonder how many people got "the last room" at the Blue Waters.

When I first called them, they were completely booked. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I got an email that said they just opened four rooms. I called as quickly as I could and got "the last room". Now, you got "the last room". Kinda makes me wonder if they just tell everyone that they only have one room left....

Anyone else get the last room at the Blue Waters?

Ya know...after posting I looked up and saw that you were denied. Then I scratched my head and said..Oh well, someone must have just let a room go and I got it. Now reading your post here, I have to say......Hmmmmmmmmm.

Blue Waters had been following their usual policy of holding a certain number of rooms for guests who'd stay 2 nights. Then they called me to say they were opening those last 4 rooms for our group instead - very nice of them. I then quickly e-mailed the people who had already registered for RNC3 (hint, hint) to let them know that the extra rooms were available, and they got grabbed up quickly.

Suneet....

Sometimes I think i am blonde! I did in fact request Friday night not Thursday night even though SpinDocs directions were very clear. I just left another message with Inn at Table Rock requesting Thursday night.

Bill Koff,
So ummm you think you have to get lucky to see me drive? Well since you were my instructor, you might not want to see me drive any more!!!!

I look forward to this and Croctoberfest!

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooookay!

I have CONFIRMED a reservation at the Inn at Table Rock. They have CONFIRMED they have only one room left for Thursday night May 15th.

Going......Goingggggg.......ggggggg????

One thing to note. Thank you to Suneet for helping out on this find. I asked the lady over the telephone how close this inn is located to the Laurel Inn (the original lodging location suggested by SpinDoc) and she chuckled and said "we share the same drive."

Thats about as close as you can get without being in the same building. So that part is easy if we want to socialize.

So, last call for The Inn at Table Rock.

See you wild people in May.

I'm located in knoxville and would be interested in joining in on the fun. SpinDoc, I tried to PM you with my contact info...but not enough posts to have that luxury. Can you give an alternate contact method?

With no rooms left, I guess I'll start packing my tent....Camping at Table Rock.

Ktown,

I sent you a pm with Spindoc's email address. You should be able to get a room in Pickens, SC at the Table Rock Inn (schellhaus.com); website shows 2 rooms still open so no need to rough it You will have to find an alternative to the Blue Waters Lodge though.

Ktown --

The Tapoco Lodge seems like it would be a good alternative to the Blue Waters. See my post on the previous page for contact info (#13).

Okay guys, less than one month before the registration deadline of April 15. If you intend to join us for this trip, you must register by April 15 - no exceptions!!

A number of you have apparently reserved rooms but have not registered for the trip. The registration instructions are in the final paragraph of the first post in this thread. Please follow them to avoid disappointment.

Thanks to Helmut and Suneet for their help last weekend on the scouting trip...from which many things were learned and from which we emerged unscathed - due in part to Officer Pheasant's mercy and to the chagrin of our recalcitrant friend in the red Aveo. We've modified the final RNC3 route for maximum sweetness.

Remember, you need to register (and pay) by April 15 to go on this trip.
