OK, so I just officially joined the Waitlist about 30 minutes ago. I'm still in shock from spending all that money but I'm excited for May like you wouldn't believe.
I had been on another Porsche Forum in the Cayman section asking and learning while I considered dropping off the RS4 waitlist and joining this one. Then my dealer wisely suggested that I take the weekend to think about my specification and I happened across this site on Friday night.
Glad I did b/c the insane amount of time I spent lurking resulted in some changed specifications today. Most notably, the addition of SportChrono. Here's the rundown:
Lapis Blue / Black & Stone Grey
Standard 18'ers
Colored Crest Wheelcaps
Adaptive Sport Seats (heated)
Gaurds Red Seatbelts
Porsche Crest in Headrest PASM Sport Chrono
Badge Delete
Auto Climate Control
Self Dim Mirrors & Rain Sensor
Bi-Xenon
Sport Leather Steering Wheel
Leather Rear Center Console
Leather Door Finishers
Total Destruction: $78,221.04 (inclusive of tax, resgistration, etc.)
Ouch that hurts!
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

Sport Chrono and Chrono Plus
This optional package is a valuable addition for trackday use. Available in conjunction with the CDR-24 CD radio, it includes a swivel-mounted analog and digital timer unit which is centrally located on the dashboard. All functions are easily accessible via the control stalk for the on-board computer. Analog dials measure hours, minutes and seconds, while a separate digital field displays whole seconds, tenths and one hundredths of a second. A second digital display runs in parallel in the instrument cluster. Click this Link to visit the FAQ entry for Sport Chrono.
Remember, you DO have some time to change your order if you want. One item you might consider is deleting the painted center caps and going with the Boothe Design group buy here on their center caps. It is a little more money, but a much much better center cap IMHO.
Glad you found the site, so are you going to tell us what other Cayman forum you were mistakenly hanging out in until you found this place?
dude you also need TPMS..and second, BOSE. I wouldnt get PASM unless you plan to track your car....anyway your car looks sweet!....welcome..COCO

TPMS
TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.
Other Forum = Rennlist (try Watercooled then the Cayman subdivision). Rennlist is cool b/c it's not just Cayman, but as for Cayman info and chat you're not missing anything.
Belive me, that was FAR from every option. I wanted more leather, some CF trim, and PCM, but the prices started making me feel like too much of a fool. No Bose b/c I have two Audis, one with and one without, and the one without sounds MUCH better.

I'll secondK-Man S on the Boothe cetre caps. I plan on picking up a set once I get the car. I'll keep the stocker centres for use with the winter wheels...
TPMS = Tire Pressure Monitor System...need that since there is no spare!

I didn't get the TPMS and would recommend it as several pointed out, to save any damage to a wheel. I also agree with KMS about the Boothe wheel caps. gonna order them asa I can convince wifey to cut loose with the $$$$$$ lol
