Anyone interested in a Cayman Car Badge?

Something along the lines of a modified "historic" version of this logo:

(not exactly this logo, some minor text changes, etc. anticipated, but the croc-style logo)

Here is the badge:

We can get them made by these people:
Arnie Brown's Automobilia - Car badges, grill badges and more!

Described as:
"Our badges are a "hefty" 1/8 inch thick solid brass and inlaid with cloisonne colors, then coated with a clear coat of epoxy that makes them impervious to the elements. They will not dull, flake, or fade."

Need at least 40 people to join group buy.

Final price around $30-$35 plus shipping.

Please note this topic is for the DISCUSSION of Cayman Badges. If you'd like to order one, please click here and add yourself to the group buy list: http://www.caymanclub.net/cayman-ven...uy-orders.html

-----------------------------------------------
UPDATE

You can now order as many badges as you'd like in our Cayman Shop here:

The Cayman Club - Powered by vBulletin

I hope that everyone on this list will place their orders quickly, the sooner we get the orders in the sooner we can place the master order and have the badges made and delivered to you.

Any suggestion on where to place it?
If I remember correctly it goes on the dead pedal?

No these are larger than that, and I haven't exactly figured out just where yet, we don't have air cooled metal grills on our trunk decks ala a 356, but I'm sure we can come up with something, or as the site says you can mount it on a block of wood and hang it on your wall!

See the site I linked in for more details.

OK, read through the site, but I'm not seeing anything on size....I would assume from the badges I've seen on grilles before, this is probably around 3" across. Am I off here?
Anyone else with ideas on where to put this? I like the design and would like one, but can't think of a place to put it.
Maybe on the firewall between the seats?

Mine will go on my desk or on the wall of my office. I'm not a huge fan of those adornments on cars. I don't even have my PCA sticker on my window.

Their site says typically these are 3" round although other sizes are possible.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but I wouldn't buy this. It requires ALOT more graphic prowess to meet a standard of both Porsche and our Cayman. Does every single reference to the Cayman have to be croc-this and gator-that?

It reminds me of the Audiworld forum for the TT. 95% of everyone's username and custom plate of course had two T's in itt. Itt gott sortta redundantt aftter a while. Altthough itt was tthe mostt acttive intternett group I have ever been a partt of, itt justt gott ttottally lame tto see tthe same old gimmick - if you see where Im going witth tthis rantt...

This is one thing the 911 has on us, its timeless... Beating our lizard to death is not :O}

Um sure you could get a current Registry logo design instead, see http://www.caymanclub.net/geekmart.php for the current design although you'd need at least 40 to buy that design as well. Lately I've had some email requests for the old logo style to bring it back and although I cannot as the registry logo I don't see why it couldn't be used for something historical like a commemorative badge.

No one image satisfies everyone unfortunately...
