Ok the prototype design came back from the company that makes custom plate frames. I've attached it to this post. Here is a description of their plate frames. If you've seen the KC Region one I have on the back of my car it was made by the same company.
"CLASSIC POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL AND BLACK POWDERCOATED FRAMES
18 gauge 304 stainless steel base metal (Will Not Rust or Corrode) not chromed which can peel when hit with rocks and gravel
Universal fit and installation
Includes matching frame finish hardware hider caps
10 year exterior warranty
Two styles to choose from : full wide bottom (open top corners only for top registration tags)and center wide bottom (all four corners open for registration tag locations)
Frames are available with two or four mounting holes depending on your customer's needs
All are CUSTOM Laser Engraved to your specifications. "
So who would be interested in a license plate frame such as this one? When we did a group buy for the KC Region a couple of years ago the pricing was around $25 per frame if memory serves correct, obviously if we have larger quantity we could probably do just as well if not better, I'll have to check.

Which part is custom laser engraved? I assume the bottom portion that says Cayman Club is standard (and the symbols?) and then we can have whatever we like engraved on the topmost portion.
Looks pretty nice...not too fond of the red border....
Is it possible to get a reverse image.... basic frame powder coated black with the lettering/logos highlited in polished chrome? (and no red border)

There is no red border on the license plate frame that simply represents the edge of the frame, let me post an example of my plate frame so you can see what the black powdercoated laser etched stainless looks like.
I'm not asking about the design, I'm asking if I have these made will people buy one, if you will chime in, if you won't then no need to reply...

BTW the frame, as mentioned in my original post, can be ordered 2 ways
1) Black powder coat laser etched to reveal the stainless underneath
2) Shiny polished stainless laser etched to reveal the non polished stainless underneath, sort of what the exhaust pipe looks like from the factory, so it is more subtle than the black/stainless combo.
I don't have a picture of option 2, just option 1 shown in my prior post.
