I spent the month of Feb. in Florida and I was really lokking to getting my 08 Cayman 5 speed out soon. We still have alot of snow and salt here in Wi. It may rain next week. I got desperate the other day and went out and uncovered it and SAT in it just to appease myself.
not to much snow in ct just terrible weather i had the car detailed the other day and half way home it started to hail just out of the blue no warning nothing
Took mine out today for a nice drive to Toronto.....sunny, clear roads, tons of snow on the side, but a beautiful drive.
For years I babied my previous Porsche, but for the first time this winter, I put on snow tires and used my CS on clear days.
Last weekend we had 18" of snow. Now that the streets are clear, the potholes are as large as fishing holes. Throw in the broken bits of black top, which seem anxious to find a sweet spot on your windshield, and I'd say it's about another month before the Cayman sees the light of day. 987f

Im pretty sure we're done with snow for the season here. Which is good. I drove my CS every single day I was here over the winter and I still have my summer Ps2s on. We only got real snow twice and I was on a business trip for both of them. And I drove home at the beginning of a significant ice storm without issues.
Note on the ice storm. I took a different back-roads way home then I normally do. I only made the decision because I knew it was all flat roads. It turns out that an overpass on my normal way home froze up and possibly over a hundred cars got stuck on it. Word is some were stuck there for 9 hours (with freezing rain). Glad I missed that one.

Here in the Sierra Nevada one never knows when it will snow again. We went through a very snowy period through early February. It got unseasonably warm in early March (highs around 60). THe wife and I went to a SNR-PCA St Paty's Day Party Saturday night. Checked the weather and it was listed as "Partly Cloudy" and cool. No snow - great. Took the Cayman S and drove to Carson City. Had a great time (Porsche racing with carved potatoes - great sport). Left at 9 PM to head home and... It's snowing. Driving home it gets worse and worse. Barely get the little racer home and up the driveway. Needless to say both of love snow but enough is enough.

You are fortunate your car managed with summer tires. Snow tire rating is not just for snow, more importantly, it signifies that the tire is capable of traction in LOW TEMPERATURES. Summer tires in cold weather (<5 C) gets hard and looses traction significantly.
Quebec just passed a law that mandates winter tires on all cars during winter months.
