I don't know how many of you here know this but a couple of weeks ago a company called Internet Brands acquired 6speedonline and Rennlist, yep they are now both owned by the same people.
If you look up the board of directors of Internet Brands, none other than Roger Penske sits on the board. Could this be some sort of backdoor Porsche influence over top Porsche sites? Are they going to target us next?
So, Roger Penske has been in control of all vBulletin sites for 9 months now!
Never understatement the breadth & depth of Roger Penske's reach!
I think that's quite a leap. Just because he is on the Board does not mean "Penske" controls anything. He is also on the board of GE does "Penske" control GE too?
Ken,
I just hope you keep this board independent. If it takes a bit more contributions to get it running, than so be it. This is a great community with 99% very mature people passionate about our cars. Keep it that way!
And since you are not known for greed, somehow I feel we are going to be OK for a while

I couldn't agree more, Roger has plenty things to think about in his empire of companies.
The point I was trying to make is that Internet Brands has the capability to know quite a bit about Bulletin Board sites that use vBulletin, including the Cayman Club.

So umm....who is in the 1% of behaving badly?!?!??! Lemme see.... DaveN007? Porsches4Ed? I saw a video of a popular guy with a red CS doing exhaust mods and I know at one point he was over 55 mph on a back road! Hmmmmm maybe .......SATAN!!!!
Oh and yeah I agree..... lots of famous wealthy people sit on boards ...everywhere. They have verbal influence, but do not necessarily control the entire process/company. For wall we know he does not even own a single share of the company.
The 1% know who they are and I bet Ken reminds them that every once in a while

But you know, that's the old 80/20 rule or 90/10 rule or 99/1 rule. It's about the same on any board.
Internet Brands also bought NAM (northamericanmotoring.com). The FIRST thing the website did was add a membership level (MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Alliance Membership Program) where you pay money to get additional services like more disk space for pics and fancy title by your name ... interesting.
