cayman "fit" vs boxster

Drove botha cayman and boxster for the first time this past week. As you know, smiles of fun.

One concern--driver side foot well area in cayman felt more confined. Is this real or just a false perception on my part? I've searched/read the previous posts about tight fit, etc. But did not find many comparisons. Thanks.

Did the Boxter you test drove have sport seats? If it did, I think they are a few millimeters lower, which allows them to go back a few more millimeters. That might have been the difference.

No sports seats in the box but itwas optioned with thepower seat package. Leg length didn't feel much different between the two. But it was the leg well area that felt smaller/more narrow in the cayman. Am I nuts?

No, I don't think your nuts. When I sat in both (no test drive) I remember that there was less legroom between the wheel and the center console in the Cayman as compared with the Boxster. I didn't notice any configuration changes between the cars because at that point I wasn't 'up' on all the options, just seeing if I could fit in the car.

If the car has Bose the passenger footwell will be reduced in size so maybe that made the whole interior look reduced, I don't know, but there should not be any difference in the footwell area for the driver between the Boxster and Cayman S.
