quite nice! Wonder what 3d program he used
It looks 'tighter' than in those spy shots !
I've stared at them so long that I'd swear that it is a real car blended with some CAD work given some of the reflections etc. It would be interesting to see these overlaid on the existing Cayman so that the differences in design elements would really stand out...

agreed there are a number of 3d program that produce this kind of rendering (3d max, 3d viz, Rino, maya to name a few) my guess maya the nurbs / compound curves are easier to produce ( the same software Lucas uses). A cad model like autodesk makes or Rivet would be very difficult to produce the face curves on the rendering. Also the advent of controlling said angles lighting and camera mm under the right hands can really enhance the rendering. Looks great hope the real thing looks as good!!
Here is a comparison version to see the differences....

THANK YOU K-Man S for the side by side renderings! They are both gorgeous and the second version is very true to the original. Anyone should be happy to have either.
Thanks alot Ken! Looks nice, but not too different. I will say I like the deep trapezoidal outline around the front license plate in the front bumper. That is a nice touch.
I like the V2's more angular central section, gets rid of the "buck toothed" Audi/VW look. But I like the original "recessed" grills in the intakes under the fog lights better - kind of stealthy.
And I've always been a fan of the current model's trapezoidal exhaust pipes. Really stand out as unique, compared to twin round pipes you can find or put on just about any car. Would hate to lose those. Well, here's hoping Boothe Designs will still be making them to fit the 2009 next Spring!
The images are mighty fine work!

I am not sold on the new tail, especially that dropped tear tail light effect--it obscures the natural lines of the rear fenders, IMHO. However, I find I am prefering the new front end. Alas, we get the bumperetted rear end.
