Cayman S daily driver/track car

I'm interested in a Cayman S for my wife. She currently drives a Boxster S. She would use her Croc as a daily driver as well as for frequent weekends at the track. I don't want to heavily option the car but could use some advice on what options you guys would recommend. Thanks!

Get PASM. It's perfect for a combined daily driver & track car.

Sounds just like my CS use.
  • PASM - great for all but hard core track use & very comfy ride for the street, all at the touch of a button.
  • Sport (short) Shift - great feel, nice crisp, short shifts.
  • Manual Sport Seats - combine weight savings, long distance comfort and good support on the track.
  • Xenons
  • Pagid yellow track pads.

+1

If you stay with 18" wheels you don't need PASM,.....the stock suspension is great for all around track/street usage. Short shift and sport seats would be nice to have.

All in all the main ingredient is the driver, in absolute bare bones config the C/CS is outstanding.

+1. 19" wheels with PASM or 18" without. I prefer 18" as they're few pounds lighter on each end.

Only two options I would get if I were to order again, sport steering wheel and ceramic brakes.

Dont skip xenons unless you don't drive at night. Try to sit in the different seat options if possible. I liked the standard seats with the power option

Wish I had bought PASM.

The numerous choices of aftermarket exhausts are much better than the factory sport option but will put you into a different class if you drive autocross.

The premium sound is better than the basic but still is unacceptable. Might come into play when you go to sell the car.

Go with ceramic brakes if you can stand the price for track use.

I like the looks of 19s but would stay with 18s for your application.

The CS is the best DD I have ever owned.
