Just a warning to the Zone 1 caravan heading towards Asheville to meet up with me.
THERE IS NO GAS IN ASHEVILLE. Thank GOD I have three cars.....I am having to drive them all in order to ration my gas. PLEASE FILL UP BEFORE YOU GET TO ASHEVILLE.
News reports - both newspapers and television - in my area indicate that gasoline is in limited supply in the Atlanta area, with long waits and 10 gallon fill-up limits. Can any information be shared about this issue ?

Morons feeding on the frenzy created by our wonderful newspaper and local TV "news", filling up when they still have 3/4 of a tank because they are afraid that because there was some minor disruption in the fuel supplies in the southeast due to the 2 recent hurricanes they won't be able to get gas. Which of course creates a run on the gas stations creating the shortage they all feared.
After Katrina this panic lasted about a week, so hopefully supplies will start picking up and the gullible masses will find something else to to occupy thier minds.

My wife went by 3 stations before she found one with gas this morning so she could fill up....

As of today the blend restrictions are waived until Oct. 12th.
I talked again with Todd at Concourse and he doesn't know that he'll have the capacity to deal with 50 cars over the week.
Here are a couple other detailers that work out of the office complexes nearby that I talked to today as well. As it sounds like these are all fairly small operations, I would suggest that you call them to schedule an appointment (sooner the better, I would think).
I also want to caveat, that I have not dealt with any of them nor do I have any knowlege of thier ablities, but just trying to provide you with some options if the hotel is unable to provide a place to wash.

Go east on Hammond from the Hotel. At Ashford Dunwoody (about a mile) go straight at the light and you’ll enter the Ravina complex (Crown Plaza is on your immediate left). You’ll loop around the complex (a fun road when you know it…..) and get to Ravinia 3.
