Your car has to be parked, clean or dirty, by 8:30 am on Friday, as an FYI this was in the agenda for quite some time posted in the first topic in this topic thread about 2 months ago. Now if you park at 8:30 and your car is dusty you can clean your car on site with whatever materials you bring, california car duster, detailing spray, towels, etc. but there is no hose or water at the Porsche parking garage facility. I have not heard back from the hotel if they have a hose anywhere on site that can be used by members, say at 7am, etc. you might try calling the hotel and asking, you might have better luck that I have at getting that question answered. The hotel is literally 1 minute away from PCA HQ as is that one detailing place. If someone thinks their car is going to be real dirty they could check into mobile detailing places but many of those still require that you provide a water source. I'll also check with Porsche to see if there is any water source anywhere at their facility or nearby the parking garage, but I wouldn't bank on it.
Well I THOUGHT I had read all the posts, but thanks for the reminder.
I schedule an appointment with Concourse Auto Detailing Friday morning at 7:30 am. They said they would be done with my car by 8:00 am. Plenty of time to get the car parked at PCNA. I thought the Show n Shine was a time for us to hand out and wash cars together, then after about an hour or so.....walk around and see all the shiny cars. Hence show n shine....not show up shined already.
Ahh anyway....it should be fun!

You can still shine while you are there, but here is some additional news on washing cars at PCNA HQ!
From Porsche:
"Great news! I got with Henry from Lakeside Auto Detailing, which is located in the basement of the PCNA parking structure. He has 2 bays, and has agreed to bring in some extra crew members to wash only, starting at 6:30 ish AM. I figure with 2 guys in two bays he can probably put through about 20 cars per hour. He will also provide drying towels, tire dressing and other cleaning products, however members would be encouraged to bring their own, along with $10 cash to pay for the wash.
Henry is a great guy; he and his crew do all of our PCNA vehicles as well as the private vehicles of many people who work here. However, this is not how he normally operates--he doesn't rush his work. Let's all try to keep that in mind Friday morning. "
So basically there will be a car wash available for $10, but you have do the drying, finishing touches yourself, they are simply doing the wash, but doing as many cars as they can that morning and open early with extra people.
Todd from Concourse Detailing followed up with me this morning and asked that anyone that is planning on using his services today either get there as soon as possible and / or give him a call so he can manage the workload in an appropriate manner. He has a few cars lined up now, but if they get to the point they have no cars, and no one has called for an appointment their standard business practice is to close for the day.
He also said that if you want a ride back to the hotel (it is no more than a 5 minute walk) they'd be glad to give you a ride........
