I have put together an Atlanta guide for Crocoberfest to provide some local insight for the weekend.
It includes:
A guide to the area around the hotel (my office used to there)
Directions to the various venues with travel time expectations, and alternate routes (the rush hour route to Kinetic and directions for the AutoX) that I think are better options that what you will find if you use Mapquest or a nav system .
Some ideas on some side trips that you may want to take to avoid the worst traffic on Thursday for your trip to Kinetic.
Expectations for the Petite Le Mans
Other site seeing thoughts for those of you that may be coming into town early or staying over.

Speaking as another Atlanta area member, In2Esses has done an excellent job to help make your trip pleasant. Traffic here SUCKS. Follow his advice, or you'll regret it. Pm rush hour M-TH is 3 till at least 7. Friday it starts more like noon. I-285 does not have HOV lanes. I 85 & 75 do. Have a passenger if possible, if not, dress up an inflatable doll.
I'm retired, and rarely drive during rush hour. I'll be late Fri am, as I live fairly near Kinetic. Use extreme caution, especially near pickups & SUVs, as most locals are always on their cell phones while driving & don't consider any vehicle smaller than them worth avoiding. I'm sure I've had to actively avoid being hit at least 100 times locally. My friend Lynn (Miata, then Insight) has been rear ended 5 times & T'ed once in 8 years. Be careful!
