Has anyone purchased the cargo cage that fits behind the seats to keep your stuff from sliding forward into the passenger area when you run into a tree? Any pics available? The standard Porsche picture of it doesn't show very clearly how it attaches. Does it only attach at bottom, or also at top? If you have one, any comments about it? Thanks...

I bought the part, but when I tried to install the two small metal pieces designed to hold down the cage at the base, their was a plastic lip from a panel above which prohibited me form properly placing these parts. The only option seemed to be to cut two notches at the points where these parts are suppose to go. Has anyone installed this item as well and if so were there any adjustments made like the ones I have outlined?
I installed the cage and had no problem other than removing the engine bay cover without damage. I further modified the partition with a Lexan insert(made from a golf cart windshield) that reduced both engine noise and load on the AC by isolating the rear area from the cockpit. As both a photographer and woodturner I didn't want something like a tripod or bowl gouge whacking me in the head if I had to make a panic stop. (;-D)

I got mine as part of the factory order. I placed my spare tire on top of engine cover behind the cage and hold it down with luggage net. Works great and visibility is fine and front and rear luggage compartments are open for luggage.

Hey JamieD. Do you have any pics of your lexan insert on the partition? How did you attach the lexan to the partition?
I don't have a photo handy, but used the "cage" as a pattern and sawed the Lexan on my bandsaw. The screen is then attached to the cage with black cable ties thru holes drilled in the screen- nearly invisable when in place. I also placed some small rubber tubing(fuel line?) on the cage grids in several places to prevent rattles, and it works like a champ.

I had the cargo cage by factory order. My salesman told me it was the bar behind the headrests when I was configuring my car and I figured that was an important option. So when the car arrived with actual cage, I was bewildered. It looked like I intended to transport livestock in the rear compartment.
I complained and got comped colored wheel crests and clear side-markers.
If anyone wants the cargo cage, it's yours, just pay the freight or pm me to arrange to pick it up.

Sounds like 1) your salesman was either an idiot or out to scam you and 2) you should have looked on Page 75 of the Sales Book - clearly shows the grid-style of the partition. I actually think the partition will be helpful if you are carrying anything in the back. Those can literally become lethal missiles in a collision.
Sorry can't help you out; won't need mine until next Spring.
Glad they comp'ed you; the salesman slipped you the big one on this!
