New owner of Cayman S

Just got my first Porsche! 2008 Cayman S Meteor Grey! So far I love it. I am having Tooki installed this week. Any tips or comments would be appreciated, especially mike placement! Also hard wiring my V1 as well. Thanks for any help Dan

Congrats on the car- it will make you smil for a long time to come. I have had mine for 4 months now, and I still look back every day as a walk away from the car....

I installed the Tooki myself in the car about a week after I got it. Pretty easy to do, and it works very well. I put the mike at the top of the a-pillar, just to the left of the driver sun visor. People I am talking to on the phone say I sound clear, unless the window is down at interstate speed (in which case it is just plain too loud for any location, IMHO). My LG phone from Verizon synched right up with no problem.

I also hardwired the V1 and put in on the windshield just to the left of the rearview mirror. Wired it into the fuse box using the rear-wiper fuse (which my car doesn't have). Works great. Did both installs using the guides found here and took me about 2 hous for both, taking my time.

Enjoy your new ride!
