Croctoberfest Autocross Video

For those that didn't make it to the Autocross you missed a great course. Lots of fun pretty quick and some elevation changes ( and the death of my tires. ) Many thanks to the guys at the Peach State PCA and Ken for setting the meet up. Music was added because the sound was painfully horrible. Croctoberfest 2008 AutoX w/ Music- Video

And yeah before someone else points it out I have no idea where that hand crossover came from, I never freakin do that.... anyway think I ran a 58.7 which was good enough to win me a beer mug trophy ( first I win a bottle of wine in the raffle now this? I'll end up being the one in alcohol treatment if this continues, just what is Porsche's stance on drinking and driving anyway... )

Cool vid, shows the course nicely! Was one of the best designed courses I've run - too much fun. Thanks for sharing. Great run, congrats!

Thanks for sharing the video and don't worry about the hand work, I was shuffling away while talking to the camera guy with me and banging off the rev limiter while trying to give him some interesting video, only upon replay did I realize how casually I drove and I asked him please don't show me shuffling that much I shouldn't have been goofing off but I was having too much fun doing so. Next time ask to drive my car so we can see what sort of times you can turn with it vs. a stock car. Thanks for the thanks at the end of the video as well, I feel famous now!

Oh and if you don't want that wine let me know, I'll take it, those were very nice raffle items from Adobe Road Winery (TRG - Kevin Buckler).

Yeah that'd be a blast to take that beast for a run or two. Hearing that thing run at me was like the coming apocalypse, that is one nasty lil croc! That'll be fun to see the vid from it running. When are we going to get to see it? And na the wine was great just thought it was kinda funny to be giving away alcohol at a car event.

Btw I think Pistol Pete and someone else had the same camera setup ( a gopro hero ) have either of you fellas gotten REALLY bad wind/static noise? Looking thru the directions theres a high and low setting for sound that I didn't know about ( just got the thing the day before croctoberfest ) can you actually hear the motor with it on low?

Take it easy,
Westby.

Great video Neil! I saw that once you got into second you left her there....which is what I did as well. In fact, it was fun to take the course and not worry about the gears. It was as close as I have come to driving Ax in an automatic!

Smooth slalom!

So were your tires squealing any? Mine were through the first two sweepers.

Yeah it's pretty nice to have a car that can hit 75 in second. Makes AutoX a lot easier. And yeah my tires were squeeling half of the time, but that's okay Milla likes it a lil rough
