Hello to all members, recently acquired an 07 Cayman and love it. Its a garage queen and only comes out to "play" when weather permits.

Looking forward to picking all of your brains on the vehicle to enhance the experience.

First question...What is up with the brake dust on this vehicle??? After a minumum amount of driving, (30-45 minutes) the wheels (especially the front) are covered in brake dust. Is this normal..is there anything I can do to minimize it?

Welcome. Brake dust is normal but you can wax the wheels to help with cleaning them. Our sponsor Wheel Wax has a good product for that.

Don't forget to enter your car in the Cayman Club Registry.

I realize that brake dust is normal for disc brakes, I possibly should have said the dust seems excessive after a short drive..but I will take your advise and try the wax and see if it helps.
Thanks

All,

The Wheel Wax does help. I'd also agree the Cayman creates a fair amount of brake dust, but in my opinion it does not run to excessive. Plus, it gives you a chance to clean the wheels, and the rest of the car, which is very therapeutic.

Registry and pics!

Second question..

Would like to take precautions on the interior, I do have some (co-pilots) of the female persuasion that don't realize the extent of their (use or in some cases abuse) of my babies interior..
Any suggestions for quality seat covers, floor mats, etc..
Thanks
