Tracking your Order

I couldnt find this in a search ... sorry if its already been asked

What is Porsche's process for tracking your build. I know that in other cars its pretty easy, once you get a VIN you can find out yourself the status of the order, find the ship its on, track the ship over the pond, etc.

The only way is to have your sales person check to give you the info. Porsche is way behind times on this. And there is a kind of level two tracking system that requires a second password to get into to get tracking info so your sales person may not have that and have to rely on a 'manager' for that data. There is also a warning on that site that the information should not be supplied to the public. Strange.

Yes, It's just as Santa Fe says. I watched my salesman punch in my number, hit some keys and voila! He said my car would be done May 4th and arrive by June 15th.
