Live From Spain - Report #1
One of our members is in Spain for the Cayman testing and has sent in the following 2 early reports. More reports along with pictures to come:
We arrived in Mallorca, Spain yesterday morning. Porsche hosted our
welcome reception last night, and it was grand. Peter Schwarzenbauer (PCNA
CEO) addressed the group, welcoming us to the island and promising of a
very special event beginning tomorrow (Sunday) when we board the cruise
ship. Everyone is interested in what the surprise may be.
The reception was wonderful, meeting dealers from all over the country
discussing a variety of topics.
Oh, did I mention the scenery and the food? Both are outstanding!!!
No pictures yet, as most of yesterday was spent travelling or resting to
prepare for the rest of the week.
AND
On our drive from the airport to the resort we passed the Circuit de
Mallorca raceway. We were able to catch a glimpse of several Cayman S
models in the paddock! WOW, can you say hot! A group of Guards Red
awaiting our arrival. They were poised...awaiting our arrival...yearning
to be driven aggressively and prepared to impress.
This was a teaser, as no mention of the raceway was given by our tour guide
at the time of passing. One had to be observant to see the raceway and
Porsche´s, as we travelled by the track quickly in our bus.
The excitement is building!
