Driver's Legroom In Cayman S

Have not been able to see an actualCayman S as our city is in the process ofgetting a new Porsche dealership as we have been without since 1990. Does the Cayman S with or without power driver's seat have enough seat travel backwards so that a long-legged person 6'3' tall has adequate legroom below the steering wheel when the seat is all the way back?

I'm 6'1' and fit with more than enough room. Depending on how much of your height is taken up by your legs I would assume that a 6'3' person would still fit more than adequately. Try first of course.

Two things I did to help were power seats and the sport steering wheel. Ask me in July how it worked:-) (I'm only 6'2")

jef,

At 6'3', I think it is accurate to say that you are in the borderline area with regards to leg room. You may be comfortable, you may not. You really should try one out to be sure. I'm a chunky 6'2', and have just barely enough room. I didn't find the power seats added any space compared with the manual adjust. Also, keep in mind the steering wheel can be adjusted up/down in/out, so that might help with leg clearance, as will the smaller diameter sport wheel mentioned above.

hope that helps, Dave

Dave D said exactly what I would have. I'm also a big 6'2' and I wish there was just an inch more legroom, but once I'm in and settled, the feel and experiance take over. My longest stretches have been about 90minutes, but I could have gone a little longer. I think if I dropped 20-25lbs, I'd sit deeper in the seat and would be perfection.

Thanks everybody! I am lean, and does anyone know how the leg room compares with thesportseats and the regular seats?

I am 6'4' and will admit to the fit being 'just ok'. But asJJBRAVO says, there is a lot with this car to offset the compromise of the 'just ok' fit. I have the standard seats and sport steering wheel. I also ordered the group buy aluminum pedals from Ultimate Pedals (ahead of getting the car), but am now thinking that I cannot even afford to instal the pedals and thereby lose another few centimeters of much needed leg space.

jef,

I remeber several other 6'3' guys that made it work for them. nscott is probably pushing the limit, but I am sure you can make it work for you.

I'm 6' tall, of the long legged kind. Sometimes I wonder what an additional inch would feel like. But I think I'm just fine by any standard.

I'm 5Ft. 17inches and I feel like I am wearing the car. Not too comfortable for a long trip.

I'm 6'3 and fit fine. I've driven the car on long trips and in commutes and am very comfortable. Getting in and out without scuffing the doors is another question.
