This is going to take a lot away from my driving experience.
Any driver going 30 mph over the speed limit or over 80 mph ANYWHERE can get up to $500 to $1000 fine, license pulled for 30 days and possible jail time.
If you get caught a second time, the fine goes up, the license get pulled and 5 days in jail.
The third time it gets even worse, and I don't want to think about it anymore. Come January 1st 2007 I won't be making my morning runs up in the 100 mph range anymore.
Don't come that far West. Oregon just passed a law which I understandmandates at least somejail time when caught doing over 100mph. I'm not sure what the fine is but I'm sure it's pretty stiff as well.

Those bastards! What politician is responsible for this bull? They gotta go after the racers, not the mild mannered gentlemen that simply want to get into 6th gear. Ordered a Blinder laser jammer . . . hope it works!
I don't know who started it, but Linda our Gov signed it into law. To top it all off, Hawaii Raceway Park is now completely closed down, and there is nowhere for the racers to go but the highways! It isn't pretty.
Arizona Law makes it a misdemeanor to drive >20 mph over limit on non-limited access roads, or >85 mph on the highway. Valentine 1 gives us the occassional bravery to break triples, and 140 still feels pretty safe and stable....
Still saving time and money to try http://www.openroadracing.com/
