325bhp - Official Porsche Power Upgrade

A mate of mine has just told me that Porsche are doing an official power upgrade pack. Add the Cargraphic exhaust and you have 325bhp! This was reported in this months Purely Porsche GT mag. Anyone seen it? And any more news of the official sports exhaust for the Cayman?

A cat back exhaust will not return another 30 HP, exhaust, headers and ECU might do it, but not exhaust alone. I have that issue here in front of me do you know what page this is on?

I would be very interested in this as well. I am just trying to get a nice exhaust that only gets loud around 5,000 rpms then is quiet otherwise...
Any thoughts or just wait for Porsche to do it? Is this it??

Speedart makes the same claim...http://www.gmpperformance.com/index....37169&VS=1

Cayman PowerKit II - 325hp: Power Kit II consists of headers, sport cats, a sport air filter and a sport exhaust/muffler. This exhaust systems reduces the exhaust pressure which provides more power throughout the better flowing of the exhaust fumes. ECU remapping improves the low-end torque that is lost when switching to larger diamter exhaust components. Upper power is improved by 10hp as well. The ECU will need to be removed and shipped direct to speedART for their updated programming.

Re: The official upgrade
Can we get it from the Porsche dealers? What about the warranty on the car?

I got to the bottom of this, what GT Purely Porsche said was that they have a Cayman S and a C2S with the factory power kit sitting out front of their shop. Only the C2S has the powerkit, the Cayman S does not, someone simply read the sentence in the magazine out of context. Porsche has not announced any power kit for the Cayman S as of yet, although there are certainly several aftermarket opportunities.

thanx k man s, for clarifying. i will move to a new cayman as soon as factory up the hp. i love this platform. i dont want any aftermarket power upgrade, not even air filter. i drive the thing so hard, that i dont want to have ANY reliability issues. so far, every one of my porsches are taken under warranty, my dealer doesnt care about the huge amt of track miles i log on them so i dont want to jeopardize that.
