Waiting for Caymanclub.net ...

Hi All-

I'm experiencing very inconsistent response times on this site. I can get to the main Caymanclub page very quickly but from there it becomes very hit and miss as to the response times that I will experience clicking anywhere from there. Is anyone else experiencing the same symptoms? I can go to any other of my favorite websites and the response times are just fine, so I don't think it has anything to do specifically with my computer or internet setup.

As I write this thread there are a total of 22 users on this forum (15 members and 7 guests) which is a very low number of users and I still experience 1+ minute response times going to any link. I always get a message in my brower status line stating 'waiting for www.caymanclub.net' during my wait times.

Is any one else experiencing this terrible response time? Do I have an improper setting in my browser? I've tried using both Firefox and IE and get the same result. It is so frustrating traversing this site when I get such slow response. I'm using a high speed broadband connection and this is the only site which I experience this slow responsiveness.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tracy

The site has been very slow the last few days. I have had times when it simply would not respond at all. Not sure why, but perhaps K-Man S might know?

It's slow for me too. But it's always been very slow to navigate between pages, so it's not something that i've noticed recently.

Hi,

As I'm new to the forum I dont have any previous experience of the speed, but it does take a long time to load topics. Seems to get worse the more topics I read, but maybe I'm getting more impatient as time goes on..;-)

cheers

As I reported last week our ISP is in the process of changing some things around in their network and performance is going to be spotty until they are done. I will check with them again and see if we have an ETA for completion. At that point if we still have performance problems I will look at a database update in case that might be the bottleneck, but since I've seen slowdowns with even just a couple of users online I suspect that is not the culprit but rather the ISP's network changes in progress.

Thanks for reporting this though as it confirms what I thought was taking place.
